Exploring different ministries in Cambodia re. Human Trafficking
- Grassroot outreach, crisis management and rehab – Daughters Cambodia
- Aftercare/Rehab – Agape Restoration (Newsong) Centre
- Prevention program (vocation training) and Advocacy/Research – Chab Dai, YEJJ
Cost (based on 2006): $2500-3000 USD / person for 3 weeks in high season (July – October)
- $1750 air fare
- Accomodation: $25 / avg. room for 2-4 ppl, $35 for deluxe room
- Tourist visa $20, Exit visa $20
- Average meal $2-3 -> $20 per daily meals
- Transportation: Van/Charter/Totuk? (local transportation vehicle)
Daily life schedule: 5am – 9pm
Security: Average, may see drunkard on street, country allow possession of firearms
2. Mission Trip Opportunities
Project-based trip (e.g. potential partnering with Daughters), some examples are:
- Teaching of lifeskills such as musical instrument
- Set up business/accounting
- Basic computer skills
- Teaching English
- Soccer
In the meantime, you can continue to discern God’s will by preparing your heart/mind:
1) Book study personally or in life groups to increase understanding on sex trafficking, Cambodia’s political & historical situation
2) Sign up for newsletter for specific group we support, use Mosaic website as media
3) Regular Sunday worship prayer time to bring updates & prayer for this issue and/or country

I am a student who does not attend your church but is interested in being ivolved in this mission trip, if possible, and would like to hear more about it. I am a social work major and I want to work with victims of hum an trafficking as a career. I’m from Texas. Please contact me if there is a possibility of my joining your ministry.
